"But people with disabilities don't want to go out."
Is this a sentence that comes to mind when you think of disabled customers within Travel & Leisure. That people with disabilities do not want to go out is a myth we most definitely want to go out and explore it just so hard to find correct access information and figure out where we are welcome. The Disabled Travel & Leisure industry is worth €33 billion annually, but still constantly overlooked.
Want to know how to access a piece of the pie, let's work together.
Services
With over 20 years of lived experience using a wide range of mobility devices—from being a full-time wheelchair user to using a knee brace and everything in between—I bring a unique, firsthand perspective on accessibility. Now an ambulant wheelchair user, I understand the spectrum of mobility needs and what the disabled community truly looks for when it comes to Travel & Leisure. I use that insight to help others see, plan, and improve accessibility in meaningful ways. Whether I’m assessing how accessible your space is, creating visual content that accurately represents your location, building curated maps with pinpointed accessible spots, or speaking on stage about inclusion and representation in this industry—every service I offer is rooted in lived experience and a commitment to shifting the standard. About
My name is Chloé van Dalen
I founded Stick with Chloé after being asked again and again:
“Do you know anywhere accessible I can go or stay?” Friends and strangers from around the world came to me for answers—because clear, trustworthy accessibility information was missing.
With over 20 years of lived experience using mobility aids—from knee braces to full-time wheelchair use—I’ve experienced the full spectrum of mobility firsthand. During my student years, when I relied entirely on a wheelchair, I quickly realized how inaccessible the travel and leisure industry truly is. It was hard to go out, meet people, or simply have fun—especially when you can’t even get past the terrace.
That personal journey now drives my professional work. Through accessibility assessments, visual content, and curated maps, I help businesses and destinations become more inclusive—and show it clearly. With the accessible travel market valued at over €30 billion, accessibility isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s a business opportunity.
My goal is simple:
To empower people with disabilities to move freely, explore confidently, and feel genuinely welcome in the world.
Let’s make your space part of that change.
